Guest Post - The girl named love // Fashion Feature + Giveaway

April 30, 2015

A white skirt is a wardrobe staple, a chameleon, a jack of all trades. See how to style this versatile item in 3 different ways.

The no brainer: Classic case of what to wear to work / I have nothing to wear in my wardrobe / too sleepy to even think about getting out of my pajamas. Fret not! Grab said versatile piece, add your favorite slouchy oversized shirt and your Chuck Taylors for a cool boyish touch (okay and comfort). Accessorize to your hearts content, I went for my subtle minimal gold jewellery and glittery nails for a little bit of sparkle.

Weee it's the weekend: Nothing says spring like a bright white skirt teamed with a cool t shirt and a denim jacket thrown over the shoulders. This look is perfect for long lazy pic nics in the park chatting away with friends and munching on tapas and a cheeky wine. What are you waiting for? Go get dressed!

To, uh oh, those summer nights: A bit of romancing perhaps? Glimmering dimmed lights, exquisite food and your significant other or maybe a night out in the town with the girls to your favorite bar? Either way you have the outfit at the ready! Opt for a monochromatic palette to create contrast between the pieces. I like how the skirt is the main focus here.

So to celebrate my first ever guest post Lorelai and I have a giveaway for all of you lovely people! We are giving away one of my favorite Little Darling* pieces, the tiny halo circle necklace -it's been one of my shop's best sellers too! I have a shop on Etsy selling lots of pretty little things, have a look if you like (here) Little Darling* started out as a hobby 7 years ago but has grown into this beautiful world where I can get lost anytime I want to.I love a good jewellery making session on a lazy Sunday listening to jazz. May the force be with you peeps!

Guest Post - Dragon Fruit Jelly by Creative Tsouf

April 27, 2015

Pitaya or Pitahaya or Dragon fruit is an exotic fruit from Mexico with a smooth neutral taste. The truth is that the reason I firstly bought it was its appearance. I love this pink color and the combination of the black and white inside! Of course it tastes good, too. You can make smoothies, ice cream, fruit tarts or just eat it raw.

I made this easy and stylish dessert with 3 simple ingredients:
One pitahaya  ||  3 tablespoons of sugar  ||  2 sheets of jelly

First of all wash the fruit with cold water and cut in the middle. With a teaspoon empty carefully without hurting the flesh - you have 2 cups now. Put the jelly sheets in cold water and when the get soft enough put them in a small saucepan with the fruit and add 3 tablespoons of sugar. Leave the blend to boil for 3 minutes. Now, pour the blend in the 2 cups and put them carefully in the fridge for 5 hours at least. When the jelly is frozen enough you can cut in small pieces to serve.

Guest Post - Motivational Wallpapers by Chelcey Tate

April 23, 2015

First off, let me introduce myself in an Instagram fashion to keep it short and sweet! Dreamer, photographer, graphic designer, blogger, believer, fiance to Sean, puppy mom to Kodah and big sister to 4 based in Louisville, KY.

I'm so thrilled that Lorelai has invited me to share with you today! With hand lettering being one of my biggest passions, I thought that it would be fitting to create a few motivating desktop downloads. When I was designing these I was in one of those moods that come around every once in a while where I'm feeling completely uninspired. I couldn't come up with new content for my blog, I was completely stumped on ideas for my print shop, and Instagram had me wishing I was as creative as everyone else who was flowing with ideas that day.

The truth is that not everyone's life is as glamorous as it may seem on social media. Sure, I may have posted a photo of a new piece that I had been working on, but the photo was actually from 3 days ago when I couldn't get the ideas to stop! I guess the point of this post is to remind you that everyone feels uninspired sometimes. The creativity isn't always flowing freely, and that's OK. I hope that these desktop downloads will bring you an extra dose of inspiration when you're having a day like I was having when these were created.

P.S. Does anyone else think of Gilmore Girls every time they stumble upon Lorelai's blog? Even the photo of her in the sidebar reminds me of a Gilmore! No? Just me? Ok, cool.

Strawberry Banana Smoothie

April 22, 2015

This is the easiest drink you can make to start your day! Or actually at any time. If you love fresh fruits and colored iced drinks, you will definitely enjoy this one. I woke up this morning and when I saw these strawberries in the fridge, I thought ok..I'll skip coffee this time. It's not actually my favourite fruit, but combined with other flavors it's awesome! So I also used a banana and some of my favourite liqueur, and prepared a super pink Strawberry Banana Smoothie! Yei! Let's see how!

INGREDIENTS:

1 cup greek yogurt  ||   1 cup strawberries   ||   1 fresh banana, peeled   ||   1 tablespoon Liqueur chocolate (this is just to add some chocolate flavor, you can actually add whatever you want, a ts honey for example)   ||    1 cup Ice cubes

DIRECTIONS:

Put all your smoothie ingredients in a blender and pulse until nice and smooth! Serve into your fancy glasses and enjoy!
Well you can use milk instead of yogurt although I think yogurt will give you better texture, and Its also a good way to eat some, if you are not a big fan of it (just like me!) And again I used the liqueur because I wanted to add some flavor to my smoothie, some people use honey instead, or vanilla, or you know here is a good opportunity to be creative! So have fun preparing it, please share your photos on social media if you try it on your own and tag me so that  I can see what you cook!

Guest Post - Sensuala Daydream Playlist

April 16, 2015

If you ever (for any unexplainable reasons) challenge yourself with a trivia about me, and you get asked “what kinda music does Ada listen to?”, fear not. Because today, with this long-awaited (from my side) guest blog-post you’ll get more than prepared for this hard-hitting question. This playlist for my dearest Lorelai and her readers is full of what I like to call sensual jam. I was never able to clearly favorite any specific music genre but I quickly realized that baby-making music was my thing. Whether it’s straight from the ‘hood, alt rock, disco, experimental electronic or, you name it, it only has to get you in the mood in any way. So, this is for you. You know the drill.

Here is the playlist on youtube

My Favourite Beauty Products

April 6, 2015

Hey friends! Well this is the first time I'm posting about beauty products. I'm not a beauty blogger or an expert of course and I'm not some kind of beauty-products freak!! It literally took me years to convince myself to try any kind of beauty treatment! Though the following products are some of my favourites, that I have tried and I keep using them on a regular basis.

01. Lorven Exotic Oil. (Argan Oil, Monoi de Tahiti Oil, UV filter) This is my favourite hair product! It took me years to finally try a dry-oil product for my hair, but once you use it,you can't go back! I apply it on damp hair, or sometimes on dry hair too if I want to control the frizz. It has uv filter, makes the hair super shiny and soft, and also prevents split ends if you are using heat for styling often.

02.Bumble and Bumble Surf Spray (A salt-infused styling sprayWell this is a product I very recently purchased, but I can safely say it's magic! My hair is curly, though through the years my curls were damaged by heat, stress, health disorders, styling etc so I ended up using curling irons. This spray helped my hair to get back it's natural look. I use it on damp hair, and I let dry, without using any heat. It gives great volume and texture without feeling dry. Mermaid Hair  all year long! (I think it works better on naturally curly / wavy hair.)

03.Korres Body Milk Vanilla, Fressia, Lychee. It simply smells divine! I have really dry skin (especially during the winter) and this body milk (with great rich texture) provides long-lasting hydration, so is just perfect for me!

04.Apivita Shampoo with honey & tea tree (for dry scalp) Yes I have dry scalp and I have tried similar products, but this Apivita Shampoo really helped me control it. It helps hydrate, soothes irritated scalp and controls the itching. You can totally see the difference. I use it all year long.

05. Clinique Roll on  All About Eyes Serum Well I have said it before, dark circles are so loyal to me. there's nothing I can do. You definitely can't get rid of them, but you can use this roll on to make your eyes look and feel more relaxed! You can apply it even with your make up on. It reduces the appearance of dark circles, brightens the eye area and leaves it moisturized. Small tip...keep it in your fridge! It works better that way!

I totally recommend you to use them and please tell me if you have tried them already and what do you think. Also let me know of other similar products you have tried, or if you know any other cool item I have to find about! And at last... stay tuned because guests posts are coming with really cool stuff! The invitation is still open by the way, so if you are interested you can contact me any time! Cheers!
